More Blessings from Grandma

I can not believe the boxes of patterns my grandma has!!! She wants me to sew clothes so much, and I am trying! She used to make her children clothes, some would wear homemade and some wouldn't! She would always make me and my cousin who is a couple years older matching outfits. She got one box of patterns out Sunday and I found them so interesting. There were some golden oldies in there, from the days when there were a lot more pattern companies. I think she ordered quite a few from magazines also. I love the pictures on the packages. I may never use them, or I might try some of the newer ones...but I thought they were precious!

Now this was the winner of the day...an APRON pattern that was addressed to my Great Grandmother! Isn't it sweet?

Come back tomorrow because I have saved the best for last!!
~Blessings!

Awesome stuff, I was curious the one with pots on it what was it for? Did you find any potholders? You could make aprons for Mother's Day with 4h club!! Lucky girl you are!! Carrie

I didn't have time to comment yesterday, but your blog stirred up a lot of memories for me, my GM and my Mother both embroidered the same basket design on pillow cases. I remember them very well. I would like to suggest you scan the fronts of the clothing patterns your GM has given you and put them on fabric and make a quilt. I think that would be the neatest thing. Have a great day. Jewell
