Saturday, DS and I did some sewing. He doesn't do to much sewing with me, but he has some interest. He is in home ec right now and ordered two projects; one for school and one for home. His dream is to go to the Culinary Institute of America, so he too, loves aprons. His taste is a bit more industrial than mine though! So he is working on an apron with a Michigan State U patch on it. He loves that school for some reason, too. He worked on it for quite a while. The fabric was already cut, he just needed to fold and sew to make the bottom pocket and sew the top pocket on. All he has left to do is sew the side seams and add the neck strap.

Ohmygosh! That is so cool that your son likes to sew and cook! I can only hope that my Jackson will appreciate some of his Mom's crafts when he gets older too. I keep telling my husband that I am going to teach Jackson to knit and he just looks at me funny. "What?!" My Dad learned to knit from my Great-Grandma way back when, it can happen! Thanks for the stories and photos. Love your fabrics!
Greg has been "cooking" or shall I say "concocting food" since preschool. He is always planning menus for superbowl parties, family night...whatever excuse he can find; and to my detriment he is an AWESOME baker.
I bet when Jackson learns to appreciate those awesome sweaters mommy makes him, it will peak his interest!

How terrific to see a young boy sewing. I only hope my little acquires the bug.
