You may contemplate the Resurrection of Christ. You may not.
I read a post today that basically called "religion" a myth and so on. Everyone is entitled their opinion. The post went on to say that if God were real, He would not and could not as a Father, send his Son to die for a bunch of horrible people. (I am not quoting the post perfectly, just giving the generalities). A loving mother or father would not do that. The author was correct. The majority of us right-minded humans could not send our children to die for anyone else.
The Bible says Gods ways are not our ways. His ways are higher and mightier and He has wisdom that we can not even contemplate. He is so much above us, so perfectly love. He knew He had to send the sacrifice so that we could all have the chance to be with Him if we chose. He knew the outcome of sending Jesus to die.
I am not eloquent. I'm not trying to convince the author of the fore-mentioned post, or anyone else. I am just proclaiming my love for God. He knew what He was doing. Yes it hurt, yes He is good and I will forever praise Him.
I love people, and blogging and my love is no less for those who don't agree with me.
Just wishing you all a Blessed and Happy Easter/Resurrection.

Beautifully said, it's heartbreaking to know there are those who choose not to believe out there, who are missing out on the best relationship they could ever have.
Beautiful post. Words spoken from the heart don't need to be eloquent.
Happy and Blessed Easter to you and yours!
Well written. Too bad that you could not send this to the writer of the other post.
Happy Easter to you and your family. MaryBeth
Bless you! Thanks for sharing.
I see that you liked the book 'CHRISTMAS MEMORY'. I also have 'THE THANKSGIVING MEMORY'. They used to show them on TV EVERY FALL, but they didn't this year, or if they did I missed it. Have you seen them on TV? I always look for them.

HI BON,
There is picture of both books in my NOVEMBER 2006 ARCHIEVES.

Amen, Bonnie.
And thank you so very much for the wonderful package the mailman delivered today! It's beautiful and I treasure it as I do our friendship. I truly hope that we can meet before eternity.
Love you,
Vanessa
Amen to that, sister!!
And the Bible says that if Christ had not died and had not risen from the grave, then our hope is in vain and we, of all people, most miserable. Isn't it wonderful to know that we have a Father who loves us sooooo much that He would give what is most precious to lift us up to Himself!
I guess try to analyze things a little, and see the other side of this writer's coin, which says he would prefer that God NOT send His Son because it is too mean a thing to do, leaving us all to die in our sins, helpless and bound for hell.
I am so glad that I know a loving Savior, that I am redeemed.
Your post is beautiful and worth lots of contemplation!

Beautifully written. I'm so glad He cared enough to make the ultimate sacrifice for us.
Hope your Easter was filled with joy as ours was!
Blessings,
Lea
Well done, Amen! Hope your Easter was a blessed one! And so glad you had a day off to do nothing! Happy Spring!
As a mom I can't imagine how badly it would hurt for one of my girls to die. That just shows how much He loves us. Isn't that what we need though? To know that God loves us that much even though we have sinned.
Also the story of Easter doesn't just stop there, God knew that though His son would die that He would raise him up again. So God didn't lose His son forever, just until we were redeemed.
