Yes, it's December 2nd all ready! I am officially an adult saying, "my, my doesn't time fly?", cause it sure does! And busy....shoot we have sports banquets this Sunday and next, basketball games a couple nights a week, Christmas get togethers starting next Saturday and every weekend following. And yes, through in a few birthdays! I need to eat my Wheaties!!
I did get a lot accomplished yesterday. I sewed and sewed to my hearts content AND made some cards. I am not making all my Christmas cards, but I make a few to satisfy the need in me. I have to get some pictures taken of my projects because the little coloring book bag I made my cousin's little girl is TOO sweet. Here is the quilt I made, minus the binding.

Oh yes, I also have to show you what we did last weekend. Friday DH and I took the carpet out to the living room. I think the floor looks great, he likes it too. Then Saturday I put up the tree and started decorating. Sunday I could barely move!!! So I must get the camera out and start snapping some shots again. I think I get out of the habit b/c it's sort of a pain to get them on the computer. But it's time!!!

We have snow this morning. Probably about four or five inches. They've called for a storm warning through Monday. The teachers were even whispering about a snowday Monday! Can you imagine? I thought they were supposed to be the adults! LOL! Ah they are human too...and probably like me, looking at the calendar wondering how to get "it" all done between now and Christmas without any time off! A snow day would be grand!
We visited Grandma on Thanksgiving. It was a bittersweet day. A lot of chaos going on in her house on a daily basis. She's still tired and has lost a lot of weight. She's quiet too. I think she's ready to see Jesus. I hope we can give her a nice Christmas.
Well, I promise to get my camera out...let's show each other how we decorate for Christmas.
Until next time....~Blessings

Oh Bonnie, that Dora quilt is adorable, I have a granddaughter who would just love one, maybe I can get one made up soon. Can't wait to see your projects and all you have been up too. So glad you got your cookie cutters, I know your house will smell heavenly when you bake those cookies. Sorry to hear your Mom isn't doing well, I hope and pray she gets that nice Christmas you mentioned! Hugs!!
Your tree is gorgeous and I'm jealous of the snow! Hope your season is wonderful!

Prayers for Grandma, you have such a great big loving heart it shows through everything you do! The floors are pretty, well done.
Hi Bon,
So glad you had a minute to post, always like to know what you are up to.
Well I see you are as busy or maybe even more busy then usual. Your quilt is so cute. I bet the floor looks real pretty. Sometimes you forget how nice a wood floor can look.
Don't do so much that you wear yourself sick for the Holidays!!

I am so *jealous* of how you did this entry! You actually put smaller pics, where you want them. And you put your text, next to the corresponding pics. And it all works out. Why can't I do that?!? -sigh-
But I know you don't have enough time now, for a tutorial. ,-) So I'll really try to learn how. And if I do, good. And if I just can't {I'm very untechy!}, then maybe after the holidays, you will give me a tutorial. :-)
For now, just keep doing what you have to do. Which is take care of your family and of making a nice Christmas for all. And please enjoy it, meantime. I mean, if we over-extend ourselves, it takes away from the joy. And our joy is very important too. :-)

And yes, my heart goes out to your Grandma. I do hope she has a nice Christams. And if she is tired, after that, it's her perrogative to 'let go.' And I hope she will... And all her family will honor her wish.
Not easy for family to do but... I hope so. I hope she knows this too. That all will honor her wish to let go.
