Trying to get back in the swing of things being back from vacation. It's amazing how energized I get, and how I see things differently being away from home for a week. I have some plans, BIG plans that I will divulge when the time is right! But, for the time being I planned on coming home, putting another burst of energy into my house; mainly doing SOMETHING to my too long ignored bedroom. Work on some sewing projects, the gardens, and get my fair goers ready for action. MaryBeth asked if we were ready...well, NO! I started a quilt project in April with 8 girls...what was I thinking? All of the girls just have to layer, sew, turn and tie, but they all need my individual attention for these steps. We still have time, just not as much as I planned.
See, I had all these "plans" neatly laid out. What I did not plan on however, is that my 79 year old grandmother would have open heart surgery yesterday. I did know when I left that she was feeling poorly. Sunday when I visited my parents, mom didn't seem so sure grandma could even have the surgery because of her blood pressure. But by 8:30 am mom called to let me know that the operation had begun so I headed to the hospital. Praise God, all went very well according to the nurse. An aneurysm was repaired, the leaky valve was left alone so the procedure when much quicker than anticipated. I didn't get to see her wake up and left the hospital with a shaky feeling because the woman on the bed with all the medical equipment attached to her did not look like my grandma. I seriously would have walked right by this person I so did not recognize her. But I know all is well and today mom and I are going back to see her and find out more.
Life sure goes by fast, doesn't it? I thank God I know there is more to come, just sometimes a little shaky down here!

Bonnie,
I'm praying that your grandmother heals quickly.
Hi Bonnie, so glad to hear your grandma is doing okay. I have a lot of plans such as yours~wonder if I'll get them done? I have several painting projects as well as some outdoor ones. All our rain has turned my flower beds into weed beds, so that is another project. It's hard to believe it is almost Fair time!
OH NO BON, How are things going now? Its always something isn't it? Let us know how things are.
